Mindy Waitsman counsels community associations transitioning from developer to owner control. She helps association board members understand their roles as they relate to such responsibilities as covenant violations, major service or repair contracts and government compliance.
She began her legal career as in-house counsel to Rich's Department Stores. Mindy became division vice-president and general counsel for Rich's sister store, Richway, until it was sold to Dayton Hudson Store.
Mindy was also vice-president of human affairs and general counsel for American Photo Group, Inc. until its acquisition by Eastman Kodak.
In the Community
Mindy is Chair of the Board of Directors of Lekotek of Georgia, an organzation that assists special needs children with their families and play activities.
She is also a frequent speaker at the Community Associations Institute of Georgia legal forums.
