TransactionPoint® – Frequently Asked Questions

How do I access TP?

The first time you are set up in a file, you will automatically receive an email from Registration@trpoint.com. This email will give you a User ID and Password that you will use for that file and all future files. It will also give you a link to the software.

What happens if I lose or delete the email with my User ID and Password or I forget it?

There is a link to TransactionPoint on the WNCW web site.  Once you access the site, click on “Forgot your password?” and follow instructions.  No employee of WNCW has access to your password, so we can’t provide you with it if you lose it.

How soon after I schedule a closing will I be able to use TP?

A couple of hours after we set up your closing in the software, TP will send out an email letting you know that your closing is now viewable on line.

What about files that I already have set up with you?

Only files entered starting today will be available in TP.  All previous files are not available.

Will I be able to view all of my closings no matter which WNCW offices they are closing in?

Yes!  When you log in to TP, the first screen will show you all your transactions that are in the system, regardless of which WNCW office they are closing with.  You then can choose which transaction you wish to view.

How often will I receive TP emails?

You will receive one Registration email that gives you your User ID and Password.  Then, you will automatically receive an update email from service@trpoint.com every time the status of an activity has changed or a document has been posted.  In other words, every time the WNCW staff person goes into the file to mark an activity as requested or completed or posts a document to TP, you will get an automatic email letting you know that something has been updated to the file, a brief description of that update and a link to TP for you to view the file.

If I have a comment or question about the status of an activity or a document how do I contact you?

Next to each activity there is a link to the WNCW staff person responsible for completing that task.  You can click on the link to that person and an email window will pop up that you may type your question or comment into.  It will go directly to the person who is working on that task.  The only way to correspond with WNCW about the file in TP is to click on the email link within the file. Of course, if you prefer, you can call the office and ask to speak directly to the staff person.

How long will I be able to view my transaction after closing?

You will be able to view your transactions and print documents, like HUD statements for one year.

Who will have access to TP?

The Listing Agent, Selling Agent, Lender and Mortgage Broker (if applicable) will all have access to the software.

When I open a document in TP, like the Buyer or Seller Information Sheet, can I type the missing info and send it back to you?

Unfortunately, you cannot.  The documents that you will be opening are Adobe files and are only readable, not writeable.  You will want to print out the document, make comments or additions and fax back.  Or you can click on the link to the WNCW staff person and type your comments or additions in that screen.

Do I now have to go into TP on a regular basis and look to see what you may be missing and contact you?

No.  You can use TP as little or as much as you would like.  It’s meant to be a benefit to you so that you can see the status of your closings any time day or night.  However, it is still our staff’s responsibility to contact you and ask for information or documents.  We are not relying on TP to be the sole means of retrieving and disseminating information.

When there are multiple copies of the HUD on TP, how can I tell which is most recent?

Two ways:  first, each document has a date and time next to it so you can see which one was posted most recently; second, the most recently posted documents and activities are always above the older documents and activities.

Can I give my Buyer or Seller access to TP?

Currently the Buyer and Seller do not have access to TP.  However, we do not recommend that you give your User ID and Password out to your clients for them to access their files.  After all, you would be giving them access to all of your files, not just the ones to which they are a party.

Can I have the emails go to my home/personal email address instead of my office email address?

Not at the present time.  We currently have many agents already set up in TP with his/her office email address.

What if I want another agent or my AA to have access to view particular files in TP?

This can be arranged.  When you initially schedule the closing, please notify the WNCW Pre-closer that you would like to add a specific individual  to the file to receive TP emails and we can set this up for you on a per transaction basis.

Can I change my User ID and Password?

You cannot change your User ID, but you can change your Password by clicking on the word “Password” in the upper right corner of the screen once you login.

Is my User ID and Password shared with anyone, including my Broker?

No.  We suggest you share your User ID and Password with no one.

How do I access TP if I don’t have the email with link on hand?

There is a link to TP on the WNCW web site at www.wncwlaw.com.
