The commercial real estate practice is organized to meet all of the legal needs of  single family home builders and developers.  Our representation includes:

• Drafting the contract to acquire property for development
• Getting the property rezoned
• Setting up a legal entity to own the property
• Closing the acquisition of the property
• Preparing covenants or condominium documents for the property
• Assisting in solving any permitting or regulatory issues relative to the property
• Preparing lot takedown contracts
• Representing the developer in the operation of any homeowners or condominium association during the period of declarant control and the eventual turnover of the same
• Representing the developer in any litigation regarding the construction and development of the property and the sale of houses or units therein
• Handling residential closings for the project
• Advising the developer on issues relating to real estate brokerage, fair housing laws, RESPA and the Interstate Land Sales Act

Our real estate litigation section handles litigation involving contract disputes, warranty and construction defects claims, liens of suppliers and subcontractors, zoning and disputes with homeowners associations.
